At the ACdB Museum, in Palazzo del Monferrato, at Via San Lorenzo 21, from May 6, 2026, to August 2, the exhibition "Alessandria and the Giro d'Italia: a long love story" recounts the historic bond between the city and the Giro d'Italia.
The exhibition, enriched with digital contributions (including a game for children), retraces over a century of cycling, from its origins in 1909 to contemporary protagonists, intertwining great champions and local stories. Space is also given to historical moments such as Giorgio Zancanaro's victory in 1967 and the stories of domestiques, including Sandrino Carrea. The exhibition integrates original and historic pink jerseys (Herbie Sykes collection), Magni's trophy (1951) and Franco Balmamion's endless trophy, digital content, and immersive installations, including a room dedicated to the era of cycling for an interactive experience designed to engage audiences of all ages.
